The Voice Referendum could be rejected by locals in tomorrow’s vote.
Analysis by a UK firm has found more than seventy-seven per cent of Mallee voters are expected to write NO on their paper, while almost seventy per cent of voters in Farrer are expected to vote no.
Meantime, voters are being advised against wearing YES or NO branded clothing when casting their ballots, with the Australian Electoral Commission saying it could breach rules that prevent campaigning inside polling centres.
Two AEC pre-polling sites have been set up in Mildura, Mildura Senior Citizens Club, corner of Langtree Avenue and Tenth Street and 30 – 32 Deakin Avenue.
Another pre-polling place is open in Swan Hill, Stradbroke Hall, corner of Stradbroke Avenue & Rutherford Street.
Pre-polling remains open today, but the polling booths will be open at 8:00 tomorrow morning.
