A man has been charged following an alleged carjacking at a service station in Mildura.
Police arrested the man on Deakin Avenue after he allegedly approached a vehicle, removed the driver and attempted to leave the scene at about 12:30am on Thursday morning.
Officers were quickly on the scene and arrested the 23-year-old from Balranald.

He has been charged with carjacking, possessing a drug of dependence and possess a prohibited weapon.
He will appear at Mildura Magistrates Court at a later date.
