The Federal Government says local emergency services, community groups and the private sector all have a role to play in tackling natural disasters.

It comes as the NSW Rural Fire Service has announced Lower Western District Bush Fire Danger Period will start from October 1.
Meantime, CFA District 18 are prepping for summer, with Carwarp and Nangiloc Firefighters recently undertaking a familiarisation session.
