Legislation to amend the Murray Darling Basin Plan is set to be introduced into Federal Parliament today.
Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek will introduce the legislation after she unveiled changes when it was revealed the plan would fail to hit its 2024 water recovery targets.
The opposition is calling for the legislation to be sent to an inquiry, and have a committee going to affected communities.

The Greens support the opposition move, saying they can’t support the plan in its current form.
