Mildura Rural City Council are officially opening the newly built 10 million dollar Powerhouse Place today.
It is being described by council as region’s new multipurpose events, meeting and visitor inspiration space.
Thousands of visitors have already had a sneak peek at the facility over the weekend during a soft opening.
Proceedings start at 1:00pm at the new riverfront facility.
The Victorian Minister for Regional Development, Water and Equity Harriet Shing, Member for Mildura Jade Benham and Mildura Rural City Council Mayor Liam Wood will all be in attendance.
The venue is to be used on Friday night for a cocktail party to aid Mildura Base Public Hospital Foundation.
Mildura Rural City Council Mayor Cr Liam Wood says it’s a community space with an events kitchen and indoor and outdoor space and will be a big asset for the community.
