Workers this week will begin to reinstate the Mildura Weir.
The works are expected to take about one week.
Once the works are complete the water level in the weir pool will return to normal operating height.
In July this year the weir was removed due to high river flows in the Murray River.
From Monday of this week access is closed for approximately a fortnight.
What you need know:
Boats cannot pass through Lock 11 until works are complete.
Lock Island + Lock Park will be closed to pedestrians.
Changing river levels may impact pumps, please be mindful of conditions and prepared to adjust as needed. For more details: https://www.mdba.gov.au/news-and-events/newsroom/joint-media-release-work-start-next-week-reinstate-mildura-weir
