More funding to combat Fruit Fly

Greater Sunraysia will receive funding to help growers reduce the risk of Queensland Fruit Fly in the region.

The Victorian Government has announced the second round of the Fruit Fly Strategy Grants to train nurseries, supply stores and community groups to identify risks of the pest and put in control strategies.

It says it’s about helping industry and home gardeners in the region manage fruit fly in North West Victoria.

The fruit fly is an established pest in Victoria including Sunraysia.
