Varroa Mite has been detected at a beehive in Euston
The New South Wales Department of Primary Industries has issued a new biosecurity emergency order, saying it had urgently traced hives through and from the Kempsey region, with the local infestation coming from that area.
A ten-kilometre eradication zone and 25-kilometre surveillance zone are now in place.

The pest has also been detected in the NSW Riverina region.
It comes ahead of the almond and canola pollination season.
