An Aboriginal Youth Cautioning program is underway in areas including Mildura, Robinvale and Swan Hill.
Police say it’s about young Aboriginal people having less contact with the justice system, and giving them the chance to connect with elders and support services in their area.
There are eligibility criteria, with officers also to consider the circumstances of the alleged offence to see if someone can use the program.
