Cameron Waters has praised his team after his Mustang caught fire during the Darwin Triple Crown.
The Mildura driver was on pole during the first race on Saturday, but flames erupted from the front tyre of the vehicle and quickly spread.
Cameron was seen running from the vehicle to safety marshals before helping put out the fire with an extinguisher.

After a 12-hour rebuild the vehicle was ready for racing yesterday, with Cam finishing twelfth and fifth in the second and third races.
He was unharmed by the incident.
He’s now sitting seventh on the championship ladder.
