Warnings still in place

An emergency warning remains in place for floodwaters at Karadoc and at Iraak Island.

It is now unsafe to leave.

Residents are being told the evacuation warnings remain, and it’s not safe to return.

Those at Karadoc on the river side of Cootamundra Avenue and the lower reaches of Edey road near the river are being told to shelter in the highest location possible, as are those on Iraak Island as Rudd’s Road is flooded..

Again, those who haven’t evacuated are being told to get to the highest shelter possible such as a kitchen bench or second story.

Also, there are several other notices in place:

Watch and Act – Prepare to Evacuate – communities close to the river between Colignan, Nangiloc Iraak and north to Lambert Island.

Watch and Act – Move to Higher Ground – downstream of Liparoo to Red Cliffs

Watch and Act – Prepare Now Moderate Flooding Red Cliffs to the South Australian border.

Boeill Creek flooding – Prepare to evacuate – All properties in Boeill Creek south of River Road, including properties along Amaroo Road.
