More than six-thousand seven hundred eligible residents in the Mildura electorate didn’t vote in last November’s state election.
The Victorian Electoral Commission is sending out a notice to those residents this week, asking why they didn’t vote in the Victorian poll.
The VEC says it’s a chance to explain and those who respond are more likely to be excused.

Those who don’t respond to the notice within 28-days face a 92-dollar fine as it’s compulsory to vote in the state.
