Upgrades underway for Mildura Health Private Hospital

Three new operating theatres are ready for their first patients at Mildura Health Private Hospital.

The facilities are part of a 12 million dollar major works project.

The Hospital says each theatre is fifty-six square metres, with dedicated anaesthetic bays.

They have also increased capacity in recovery to eight beds.

Other recently completed works at the hospital include new staff change rooms and tearoom,  upgraded Central Sterilisation Store Department used for sterilising operating equipment to new regulation standards and a new IVF laboratory which Monash IVF utilises for a fertility clinic.

The redevelopment and expansion is expected to be completed by September.
