Swan Hill police are taking part in Operation Mallee Dust during June, focussing on road safety.
They’ve already intercepted a man who was allegedly caught doing 179kmh in a 100kmh zone.
Also a Mildura man has been suspended from driving handed a community corrections order after being caught speeding.
The 46-year-old was allegedly caught doing 120kmh in an 80kmh zone on the Calder Highway in Wedderburn recently, with officers finding he was a suspended Probationary driver.
Police say they also found around 30-grams of the drug Ice in the vehicle.
The driver was arrested, remanded in custody and sentenced to a 12 month Community Corrections Order which includes 150hrs of unpaid work and a three month suspension from driving.
