Local sporting clubs will have the chance to find out more about understanding and embracing diversity at a free workshop.
The Sports Inclusion Workshop is being held next Wednesday evening (June 14) and is being hosted by Mildura Rural City Council in partnership with several organisations including the Sunraysia Mallee Ethnic Communities Council.
The workshop will be facilitated by former rugby union star and Welcoming Clubs manager Maia Tua-Davidson, and Danielle Hren, who is the education manager and cultural competency coordinator at SMECC.
Mildura Council says clubs and groups can reinforce their role as a safe, welcoming and inclusive place.
The workshop is being held at the Mildura Workers Bowls Club next Wednesday evening, 5:30 to 7:30.
Free dinner provided.
