Federal MP Anne Webster has taken Shadow Trade and Tourism Minister Kevin Hogan on a tour of the Mallee this week.
The local federal member says it was a chance to meet with business leaders in the electorate and talk about matters impacting their industry such as the new Same Job Same pay reforms being proposed by Labor, but she’s worried that’ll threaten the viability of the PALM scheme.
Other general workforce concerns have also been raised, as well as the importance of export markets for the local horticulture industry.
