A road safety strategy could be adopted during this week’s Mildura Rural City Council meeting.
The document looks at the direction of road safety in the region towards 2030, with a draft strategy prioritising areas including the appropriateness of one-hundred kilometre speed limits on some narrow two-way roads in rural areas.
It also encourages road safety education in primary schools and provide funding for the programs.
A report has recommended the draft document be endorsed.
