Federal MP Anne Webster has welcomed federal funding for council roads projects, but says the amount has been significantly reduced.
More than 27-million dollars was announced in funding for 12 councils within the electorate under the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program.
Mildura Rural City Council is to receive four-point-two-six million dollars, and Swan Hill Rural City Council will receive more than two-point-two million dollars.
The local Nationals member says that’s more than twenty-nine million dollars LESS funding provided by the former Coalition government across Phase Three of the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program and that some roads are in a dreadful condition and need desperate attention.
