Wentworth Shire Council has advised customers in the Gol Gol and Buronga townships that the Stage 1 water restrictions have now been lifted, effective immediately, yesterday afternoon.
The announcement follows the re-instatement of the Mildura Weir, the return of normal river levels and works undertaken at the Gol Gol and Buronga raw water pump stations this week.
Gol Gol and Buronga went into Emergency Water Restrictions on Wednesday February 1, and then Stage 1 Restrictions on Friday 3 February 2023.
These restrictions no longer apply.
Wentworth Shire has thanked residents for their continued support, and is encouraging people to follow a water conservation plan that suits their household or business.
