A rally has been held by residents against a proposed Victoria to New South Wales interconnector transmission line.
The line will also be going through New South Wales north of the Murray into South Oz.
State and Federal MPs Jade Benham and Anne Webster were at the meeting at St Arnaud yesterday afternoon, saying they were disappointed the Australian Energy Market Operator wasn’t there.

Ms Benham says VNI-West isn’t needed and the state and region can move to renewables by generating power where it’s needed.
