With the devastation of Victoria’s recent flood event still a recent memory, locals are being asked to share their experience with a state inquiry.

Grounds, homes and businesses across Mildura and Wentworth were heavily impacted by the floods late last year and earlier this year.

Submissions are now open at Victoria’s Parliament website to understand the preparedness and response from authorities during the flood.

Meanwhile, Water Minister Harriet Shing has been in Mildura, recognising the contributions by staff and the community during the recent floods.

An event was held yesterday thanking those involved in the flood efforts, including those who built the Flora Avenue Levee which was built late last year.

Ms Shing also spent time touring local business including Marciano Tablegrapes.
