Mildura’s Powerhouse Precinct is being touted as the Region’s first all electric facility of its size.
The Powerhouse area will be opening to the public soon, but the Council says it’s being powered by a 39-kilowatt solar panel system, and will be home to the Region’s first battery storage system.
The City is trying to move its buildings and facilities away from fossil gas by 2030, in line with its corporate zero net emissions target.
