Police are investigating a motor vehicle theft and reports of erratic driving in Mildura on Friday (June 30th).
Officers were told a white 1993 Toyota Landcruiser was stolen from a remote property in Wargan between 12:00pm and 1:00pm.
It has then approached a police operation at the Merbein West Weighbridge on Sturt Highway, where it’s believed the vehicle reached speeds of up to 170km/h, before crossing onto the wrong side of the road and forcing police members to jump out of the way of the vehicle.
The vehicle was later sighted by members of the public driving erratically through Mildura, before being located dumped in NSW.
Police believe the offender has then stolen another vehicle, which is yet to be located.
