Locals have signed a petition calling for a levee to remain at Karadoc Avenue in Nichols Point.
The document has had over 70 signatures and has been sent to Mildura Rural City Council.
Councillors are expected to note the petition and vote on a recommendation to commission a detailed report on levees in general.

The city has started to remove sections of levees around the region so road inspections can be held.
