NSW fire crews have been called to a harvester fire, with fire crews have praised the work of a harvester operator who they say helped stop a major grass fire from starting.
Gol Gol, Buronga and Tapio crews were among those called to the header fire at a property yesterday.
But they say the operator reversed the machine out of a chickpea crop and onto clear ground.

And they say the farm had access to fire-fighting capabilities that helped stop further damage.
It’s another warning to be vigilant during hot weather.
