Operation Furlong concludes with several local offences detected

More than five-thousand offences have been picked up on Victoria’s roads over the Melbourne Cup Weekend, nearly half of those were for speeding.

Mildura officers detected twenty-seven speeding offences, with ten unregistered vehicles also detected, however no drink or drug drivers were intercepted on local roads during Operation Furlong, which wrapped up on Tuesday night.

Also detected locally were three disqualified drivers and two-unlicensed motorists.
