Mildura Rural City Council has appointed the first new General Manager as part of the Organisational Sustainability Review announced in February this year.
Daryl Morgan has been awarded the key strategic role of General Manager Infrastructure & Assets, representing the first of four new General Manager positions under the new structure.
Chief Executive Officer Martin Hawson said the appointment was an important milestone in implementation of the new structure.
Daryl says he is extremely excited to take on the challenges that this role provides but also grateful at being given an opportunity to work in my hometown after being away for so many years.
Once all four General Managers are in place, Council will begin the next stage of the Organisational Sustainability Review implementation, which includes recruitment for any vacant Manager’s roles.
The remaining three General Manager positions are still progressing through the recruitment process with announcements to occur as the positions are accepted.
