State and Federal Water Ministers are being urged not to add to the distress of communities recovering from the recent floods.
The Ministers will be discussing the Murray-Darling Basin Plan this week, but the Murray River Group of Councils says many in the catchment are doing it tough with the floods, rising costs of living and recovering from COVID.
The group says water buybacks will continue to divide and hurt communities.
