Locals are being encouraged to apply for the Power Saving Bonus being put forward by the Victorian Government.
Mildura MP Jade Benham says many in the community are being advised their electricity rate rises could be as high as 35 per cent.
She says it’s another blow for locals trying to make ends meet, but the 250-dollar power saving bonus could mean the difference of being fed or going hungry.
