MP says tax increases are hitting hard

Mildura MP Jade Benham says Regional Victorians are wearing the real-world cost of the Victorian Government, saying tax hikes are hitting families and businesses hard.

The local MP says local households are already under financial pressure due to rising interest rates and increased costs of bills and groceries.

She says the land tax and other rental reforms are making it harder for small investors to remain landlords, and with homes being put on the market for sale there’s going to be an increase in couch surfing or homelessness.
