A Nichols Point man’s been charged, accused of keeping a Murray Darling Carpet Python without a licence, and in terrible conditions.
Authorities say the snake was found at the 38-year-old’s rental property by the landlord, with a Wildlife Controller then discovering the enclosure had no access to drinking water.
They say the Murray Darling Carpet Python is an endangered species, and can only be kept with a licence under strict conditions.

He’s facing charges including possessing threatened wildlife without an appropriate licence or authority.
