A number of people have been arrested in Mildura’s CBD over the weekend for being drunk in public.
A 30-year-old was arrested on Sunday morning and released with a seven hundred and forty dollar fine.
Police say an 18-year-old was also picked up for being drunk and urinating in public, copping fines of fourteen hundred and eighty dollars.
A 42-year-old man was also picked up drunk in public by police early Saturday morning. He also allegedly had a prohibited weapon on him. The man was later released with fines worth over twenty-seven hundred dollars.
In other weekend arrests, on Saturday morning in the Merbein area as a result of a routine intercept, a 39-year-old Male was arrested in relation to possess a Drug of Dependence, Breach of Bail, possess a Prohibited Weapon and found to be in possession of Proceeds of Crime. The Male was remanded into Police Custody.
On Sunday, a 26-year-old Female was arrested in the Red Cliffs area in relation to the Theft of Motor Vehicle. The female was Charged and Bailed to appear the Mildura Magistrates Court at a later date.
Also Sunday, a 25-year-old Male was arrested in relation to a string of Theft of Motor Vehicles and Burglary related matters in the Mildura and Robinvale areas recently. The Male was remanded into Police Custody.
