Federal MP Anne Webster says the government is rightly extended the Murray Darling Basin Plan deadline beyond next year.
But the Member for Mallee says Water Minister Tanya Plibersek didn’t help the debate by using terms sabotage in announcing the delay.
She says the Minister and Labor Government need to listen to stakeholders including the National Farmers Federation and irrigation communities who are making sensible proposals for water recovery.
