Mildura MP Jade Benham is very disappointed not much has been included in the Victorian Budget for the region.
She says locals will have to wait for the promised alcohol and other drug rehab facility, with the government pushing the project back to be completed in 2026.
The local MP has described the move as very disappointing, and says Victorians are being punished for Labor’s financial mismanagement.
There’s also no money for Mildura Base Public Hospital, while funding for regional roads has been cut.
More than four-point-six million dollars has however been announced for the Murrayville Community College and half a million dollars for the Red Cliffs boat ramp upgrade.
