Red Cliffs Golf Club has been recognised for its “Get into Golf” program.
It’s been nominated for Sport Initiative of the Year at the Victorian Sports Awards to be held in June.
The program is targeted at new members and the Pacific Islander community by encouraging them to play the sport and use the club socially.

Organisers say it’s now evolved to include a weekly Friday night event, building connections between new and existing members.
An average of 50 participants per program were involved with Pacific Islanders making up 9% of the club’s membership base.
