A former Mildura man who tried to defraud the Tax Office following a drunken night’s faced court.
The court heard the 22-year-old set up a fake-mechanic business in July last year, registered for GST before trying to claim at GST refund of more than $20,000 dollars but no money was handed over.
The Herald Sun says the magistrate accepted it was an extended hangover and purely an attempted handing the man 100 of community work with NO conviction.
