A number of watch and act messages remain in place for the Murray River between Red Cliffs and the border.
Authorities say a prolonged peak is possible at Mildura through to late December, with Wentworth expected to see a peak around Christmas.
And an emergency warning remains in place for areas of Nichols Point and Bruces Bend, Colignan, Nangiloc and north to Lambert Island and also Iraak Island, where locals are being told it’s still not safe to return.
The Murray at Renmark’s hit the level of the 1974 floods, and is steadily rising.
Residents in South Australia’s Riverland are worried their power will be cut off, with the state’s Premier putting pressure on networks to provide better communication.
And plans are also being put in place to relocate the town’s aged care residents.
