Mildura is in for another hot one, before the weather cools down.
The city is forecast to reach 42-degrees today, but the temperature will drop by 15 to an expected top of 27 tomorrow.
It’ll be milder conditions for the rest of the week before climbing into the 30s on the weekend, The Bureau of Meteorology saying it’ll reach 34 degrees on Saturday and on Sunday.
Meanwhile, local police are reminding us not to leave kids or pets in cars.
There’ve been a few incidents already this summer in Victoria, and police say while there’ve been no serious injuries, that could change in a heartbeat.
Local vets are again urging us to take extra care with our pets today.
Animals need access to plenty of water and lots of shade, and dogs should NEVER be walked if the pavement is hot.
We’re also being asked to check on friends and family, especially older folk.
