Ouyen Police will be putting in a bulk order of helmets after noticing a number of young cyclists without head protection.
The local officers received a three-hundred dollar donation from the Ouyen Lions Club to buy the helmets.
They say the protection will be offered at affordable prices to all families in the township and within the Ouyen Cluster including Underbool and Murrayville.
