The Bureau of Meteorology has declared a Heatwave Warning for the Mallee, the Lower Western and the Riverland forecast districts for a Low Intensity Heatwave today.
Temperatures around the area are expected to peak into the 40s today and tomorrow.
Some parts of Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia have a Severe Heatwave Warning for today and tomorrow.

Safety Advice
- Severe heatwaves can be dangerous for many people, especially older people, babies, children, pregnant and breastfeeding women, people with medical conditions and people who are unwell.
- Seek a place to keep cool, such as your home, a library, community centre or shopping centre.
- Close your windows and draw blinds, curtains or awnings early in the day to keep the heat out of your home.
- If available, use fans or air-conditioners to keep cool.
Temperatures are expected to cool down somewhat into the weekend with 33 forecast for Saturday and 34 forecast for Sunday in Mildura.
