Locals planning to donate unwanted items to charity are being urged to make sure they are of good quality.
The Salvation Army’s Thrift Store in Irymple has been kept busy with plenty of people donating goods over recent weeks, but say up to a third of the donations are not useable, which the charity then has to dispose of itself.
While it’s thanked locals for their items including clothing and bric-a-brac, the sorting and storage area is filling up at the Irymple outlet, and the Salvos are asking locals to consider other charities including the Red Cross, St Vinnies and MS Community.
