Sunraysia beekeepers with Victorian registered hives still in New South Wales can apply for a permit to move them back into the state.
There’s been a national acceptance that NSW is free from Varroa Mite following an eradication response after the pest was found in hives last year.
Authorities say in coming weeks non-Victorian registered hives will also be able to apply for a permit to enter the state.

They say Victoria’s maintaining a cautious and staged approach, with an increased testing regime for hives moving into the state.
