Trent Headland and Jaxon Raynor won the Outback Lawn Care, 2026 Gates Sidecar Cup with a calculated and strong performance ahead of Justin Plaisted / Brian Anthony, local stars, Byren Gates / Damian Egan and Queensland’s, Tyler Moon / Adam Lovell, at Mildura’s Olympic Park Speedway on Sunday night.
An excellent night of racing was witnessed by a good crowd, who enjoyed every one of the exciting twenty heats and the two finals, by all sixteen riders who presented.
A strong field of Classic Sidecars rode in support of the Gates field and provided some excellent close racing which kept the good crowd on their toes.
The next meeting will be the annual Mildura Sidecar Shootout, held 28th February and features the conduct of the Dudley Bradshaw Memorial Trophy, another of Mildura’s marquis Sidecar events.
The Olympic Park season will conclude with the conduct of the 2026 Australian Sidecar Championship which will be held over the Anzac weekend, with Qualifying on Friday 24th April and the Title meeting on Anzac night, Saturday 25th April.
