Local Politician ANNE WEBSTER’s worried diabetics in her electorate and across Australia won’t be able to access fast acting insulin Fy-asp from this weekend.
The drug’s maker will remove Fy-asp from the PBS from April, saying the Federal Government’s made it commercially unviable to remain on the scheme.
The Government announced a six-month Supply Order, but the member for Mallee says patients who already have a prescription will be able to get it filled as long as they go through their GP before April 1.
