Former Mayor JASON MODICA will formally apologise to fellow councillors and the wider community this week.
He’s been suspended from Council for two months after a Councillor Conduct Panel found he engaged in serious misconduct, by failing to decare a conflict of interest in relation to a planning application opposite his sister’s business.
A letter due to be tabled at this week’s meeting, Cr Modica says his actions were not malicious and he’s committed to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
