Locals thinking about a job in firefighting can get a taste of what to expect over Summer.
Forest Fire Management Victoria is after project firefighters in the Mallee to help protect the region from fires and maintain public land over the fire danger season.
Applications will close on July 30 for the roles, with successful recruits employed between October and April.
