Jade Benham MP at the Mildura Recruitment Drive
Mildura MP Jade Benham is conducting a survey, asking families, community groups and businesses how the cost of living is impacting them.
She’s taken to social media saying soaring WorkCover premiums are affecting many in the community.
Ms Benham says “One regional business has reported a rise of almost 80 per cent from last year in WorkCover costs. Other businesses have reported a rise of $7000 year-on-year, with no additional WorkCover claims.”
“Victorians have had to fork out $1.3 billion in recent years for a WorkCover rescue package due to Labor again spending beyond its means.”
“As the cost-of-living crisis tightens its grip on hardworking Victorians, WorkSafe executives have given themselves an additional $42,000 in their pay packets taking their annual salaries to $310,000 and beyond.”
