A coroner has found an Indigenous man’s death could have been prevented.
Matthew Luttrell took his own life in November 2018, a day after being discharged from Mildura Base Hospital.
Coroner Audrey Jamieson says there were many missed opportunities before the 43-year-old’s death after he sought help a few days before at the hospital.

Her recommendations include the hospital and Mallee District Aboriginal Services finalise a memorandum of understanding or other agreement that relates to information sharing.
