Mildura’s Community Walk against Family Violence is being held today.
It’s the first time in several years the walk’s been able to be held due to previous COVID restrictions.
The council is urging as many people as possible to take part, saying it’s about raising awareness of gendered and family violence.

The walk will start at midday from the mall, making its way along Langtree Avenue and down the Langtree Avenue connection stairs.
Participants will then make their way to Jaycee Park, where the event will conclude with a host of information stalls from key service providers and a free community barbecue.
Participants are encouraged to wear something white to clearly show their support for the event.
