A local Aged Care facility CEO says he’s often forced to care for patients himself, as it’s too expensive to pay for agency Nurses.
DARREN MIDGLEY’s the boss of Chaffey Aged Care and a nurse of nearly 30-years, and has told the Herald Sun Regional facilities are closing beds to meet care minute requirements.
He says there’s a big shortage of registered nurses, with warnings older Aussies could lose access to local services.
